Our Story
In 2013 Calvin & Diane Krupicka started Niobrara Adventures LLC, a Tubing and Kayaking service on the Verdigre/Niobrara Rivers. Calvin & Diane had fulfilled their love of helping others have fun on the rivers. It was a great family adventure.
On March 13, 2019 the Verdigre Creek/River flooded severely and took out our tubing/kayaking launch site on our land.
On March 14, 2019 the Spencer Dam Broke on the Niobrara River and took out Morman Canal Bridge and only public access on the Niobrara River. The public access was used by many people for enjoyment and was also utilized by Niobrara Adventures to pick people up at the end of their tubing and kayaking trips.
In the fall of 2019 Calvin & Diane began Phase 2 of Niobrara Adventures to build a campground. The campground was opened to guests on May 22, 2020. It is now an annual campground.
Below are pictures of the flood. All the tree roots in the campground came from huge trees that floated down the rivers during the flood. The River/Beach access of the Campground was our previous Tubing/Kayaking launch site and parking area.
